Lunksoos Camps is located in the Katahdin Highlands, where the winter snowfall averages ten feet. Local clubs diligently maintain hundreds of gorgeous miles of Maine's 13,000 miles of trails. The road into camp connects with ITS 83. There are signs at the intersection. Where's the snow?

Guided tours

Owner Lee Bertsch is a registered Maine recreation guide with thousands of miles of experience on the sled trails.

Snowmobile in and stay happy snowmobiler

Our cabins are available for guests in the winter, by reservation only.  You have to snowmobile into Lunksoos Camps in the winter, you can't drive in.  You can either bring in your gear on your tow-behind sled or we will meet you with our tow-behind sled and help you in.
