We provide pleasant cabins for our guests, who come for the excellent hunting in the fall, spring fishing, and for family vacations and back-to-nature experiences at any time of year.

Lunksoos Camps is a traditional Maine hunting and fishing camp. We are situated deep in the woods on the beautiful East Branch of the Penobscot River.

Hunting and fishing

Big game thrives in the rich habitat here. Lunksoos Camps serves bear, moose, and deer hunters with guided or unguided hunts. Black bears are taken in late summer, and moose, large deer and upland game birds in the fall. Fishermen and women enjoy fishing for landlocked salmon, brook trout, and brown trout in the many ponds and streams in our area.

Stay in a pleasant housekeeping cabin and enjoy back-to-nature experiences such as mountain biking, trout fishing, and kayaking.  Wildlife is abundant; birding is excellent; and there are thousands of acres of conservation land in which to hike, Baxter State Park to explore and Mt. Katahdin to climb. In winter, the area's extensive and beautiful snowmobile trail system is available from your cabin.
